Creamy Coleslaw

This coleslaw goes well with pulled pork and burgers. A bag of coleslaw mix is tossed in a sweet and tangy dressing of mayonnaise, sugar, white vinegar, and salt. Then it chills for at least thirty minutes, which softens the cabbage and lets the dressing soak in. It takes a few minutes of work, and the refrigerator does the rest.

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, the sugar, the white vinegar, and the salt together until smooth.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix and toss until every shred is coated.
  3. Cover the bowl and chill it for at least 30 minutes before serving. The coleslaw tastes raw right after mixing, and the wait softens the cabbage and lets the dressing soak in.
