Buttered Sweet Corn

This corn goes straight from the freezer to the pan. Frozen corn steams in a covered saucepan with a splash of water until no icy pieces remain. Then you drain the water and stir in butter, a pinch of sugar, and salt until every kernel is coated. It is a side dish that needs no preparation, and most kids will eat it.
